Not Bad For a Surfer
Taylor's got a pretty good stroke for a surfer. Last month, when she came up to visit, we had the chance to go kayaking on Big River. Together we slipped silently up the river in the early morning mist and watched the harbor seals sun themselves and the otters fish.
In July of 2007, I bought a small inn and left the life I had known for 48 years in San Diego to move to the small town of Mendocino. The 10-room inn sits on a blufftop overlooking the crashing surf and California's rugged North Coast. This has turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
